How can I get involved?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Saint John’s Lutheran Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here are ways you can learn, serve, and grow at Saint John’s.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Saint John’s has several small bible studies and small groups.

Sunday School

The Children’s Ministry Team at Saint John’s is devoted to encouraging and guiding kids to walk closer with Christ. We believe it is important to establish an understanding of what it means to lead God-centered lives. Our Sunday school curriculum explores Bible stories, has fun activities and provides opportunities for discussions that relate to everyday situations. We gather with the children in between Worship times. This is the beginning of our Christian Growth Hour and all are invited to attend. During this informal time we sing songs, celebrate birthdays, share announcements and collect offerings. Kids and teachers are then dismissed with a closing prayer.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Saint John’s provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.
